As your busy Fall season begins to pick up, many of your clients may be asking how they can get their hair back in shape from a summer of sun, salt from the beach, or chlorine from poolside days. Let them know that fall is a great time to revitalize their hair and regain those luscious locks!
Here are five natural tips to share with your clients to get them started:
Benefits of Fall Foods
Fill your clients in on the benefits of Fall foods, including two all-time favorites, pumpkins and cranberries. The seeds from these colorful foods yield a pressed oil that is highly antioxidant and anti-inflammatory, providing protection to follicles against damaging free-radicals. Shampoo Less Often
Suggest to your clients they wash their hair less, such as shampooing every-other-day (or even every third day, if they can). Let them know that over-washing strips the hair of its natural oils, which moisturize the scalp and help protect the hair. If they blow-dry daily, remind them to keep the heat setting on ‘low’ and the nozzle at least 6 to 8 inches from their scalp, as high heat can damage the hair and follicles.
As a stylist, you always want your customers to use the best quality hair products available to them—these can help maintain the scalp’s pH balance and improve sebum production, which will also make the transition to washing their hair less often, easier for your client.
