The leadership team at Visible Changes thought it was time to turn the tables on their amazing team of stylists and feature them in a social outreach campaign. Working with Kelly Ehlers of Evoke Brand Strategies, Visible Changes used a recommendation-based sharing technique to increase exposure to its salons and leverage its clients’ personal social networks.
With a call to action, the “Share the Love” campaign first invited clients to ‘like’ the salon’s Facebook page, then recommend their stylists on the page to be entered to win a $100 gift card.
“We launched the campaign with a blog post on our newly designed website, created counter cards, trained our stylists and front desk staff on the campaign’s steps, and promoted it heavily through Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest,” says McCormack. “Using this strategy, we had almost 200 recommendations in the first few days, and in total gathered 1,820 new recommendations for our teams, and gained 969 ‘likes.’ But the greatest result is that recommendations on social networks are shared with our clients’ networks, as well, exposing their friends to our brand.”
