Paul Wilson, an owner of the Art + Science salons, in Chicago and Evanston, Illinois, is launching and hosting the first “Art and Soul On The Runway and In Concert” event on Saturday, November 17th, at Chicago’s legendary Double Door music venue, to benefit the National Association for Down Syndrome. Wilson’s seven-year-old son Emmett was born with Down Syndrome.
The event will feature live concerts, a hair fashion runway show, styling lounges and silent auction. Produced by Art + Science Salons, with generous support from beauty industry friends and sponsors, all proceeds benefit NADS, the oldest organization in the country, serving individuals with Down syndrome and their families.
Wilson says the inspiration for Art and Soul can be seen in the faces of the NADS families captured in photos during a special Art and Soul pre-party event for kids held in October. Their images will be center stage throughout the night.
A VIP Private Style Lounge $150 Ticket offers admission and all access to Art and Soul with Art + Science providing styling services during the first part of the evening. Includes: Shu Uemura gift bag, private lounge, top shelf cocktails, beer, wine, and specialty appetizers. General Admission $75 Ticket offers style lounges and stations in main bar, appetizers, cocktails, wine, beer, and gift bag.
