Paul Mitchell Artistic Director Paula Peralta created model and activist Quannah ChasingHorse's stunning Met Gala look. For pre-Met prep, Peralta gave Quannah color using Paul Mitchell's The Demi 1AA for "for the silkiest, shiniest black" hair color.

How To: Quannah ChasingHorse's Met Gala Style:

  • Step 1: Shampoo and treat with Paul Mitchell Clean Shine Enhancing Treatment.
  • Step 2: Layer Paul Mitchell Flexible Style Sculpting Foam and Super Skinny Serum on clean, damp hair.
  • Step 3: Blowdry using Paul Mitchell ProTools Express Ion Dry+ Hair Dryer with fingers to create tousled, natural texture.
  • Step 4: Refine hair with the Paul Mitchell ProTools Express Ion Clipped 1.25" Detachable Curling Iron alternating directions to create undone waves.
  • Step 5: Section top of head and create an inverted French braid from front hairline to mid crown. Braid to the end of the hair.
  • Step 6: On both sides of the head, create 2-3 braids. Leave two out and pull the third back along with some loose hair to join into the top braid.
  • Step 7: Add accessories and finish with Awapuhi Wild Ginger Shine Spray.
