Farouk Systems, Inc., (CHI, BioSilk, CHI Footwear, and Beyond Glow Skincare by CHI) announced in a statement its executive leadership appointments to key divisions within the company.

The appointments include Lisa Marie Garcia, named President of Professional; Farah Faulkner, named President of Retail; Paula Malloy-Huerta, named President of Chains; and finally, Richard Rivas, named Senior Vice President of Marketing. The changes are a result of the company’s approach to driving company focus, growth, continuity, and momentum.

Lisa Marie Garcia

President of Professional

Lisa Marie Garcia is a board bertified master colorist and entrepreneur who branched out beyond her successful salons in Austin, TX, to join Farouk Systems, Inc. in 1986.

Her fervent commitment to education propelled her to become an educator who taught new techniques on national and international stages. She has also played a key role in helping realize new business opportunities, drive product innovation, and be effective across disciplines. This led her to hold various roles at Farouk Systems, Inc., including director of shows & education, vice president of marketing, shows & education and president of innovation.

Her latest transition to president of professional at Farouk Systems, Inc. will be essential in further focusing in developing professional business strategies. Her dynamic leadership spearheading the company’s portfolio of brands — CHI, BioSilk, CHI Footwear, and Beyond Glow Skincare by CHI — will help her accelerate the fast-growing beauty professional segments and markets. Garcia will report directly to Rami Shami, CEO of Farouk Systems, Inc.

Farah Faulkner

President of Retail

Farah Faulkner is an inclusive leader, with incredible passion and deep beauty expertise. She has been pivotal in leading and executing multi-market sales initiatives to bolster Farouk Systems, Inc.’s top and bottom-line growth.

Faulkner has served in several roles, during her 16-year career, including vice president of chains and president of professional sales, where she spearheaded international business across markets in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

As the new president of retail, she will continue to leverage her strong relationships to laser focus on consumers’ needs and transform the innovative product offerings as a profit driver for the Company. Faulkner will report directly to Rami Shami, CEO of Farouk Systems, Inc.

Paula Malloy

President of Chains

Paula Malloy is an accomplished beauty industry professional who joins Farouk Systems, Inc. as the president of chains. Malloy brings a strong tenure of working in the beauty industry and has an impressive track record of delivering effective strategies that lift sales performance in competitive markets.

Prior to Farouk Systems, Inc., she held various senior executive roles, including vice president of salon support & merchandising for HC Salon Holdings. She was also part of the leadership team at JCPenney’s Salon Division, with its 950 locations nationwide, as the divisional vice president & division merchandising manager.

Malloy’s exceptional expertise coupled with her strong passion for the beauty industry, makes her uniquely suited to continue to lead Farouk Systems, Inc. into its next chapter of growth. Malloy will report to Dr. Farouk Shami, chairman and founder of Farouk Systems, Inc.

Richard Rivas

Senior Vice President of Marketing

Richard Rivas is an accomplished beauty industry veteran with over 12 years of multi-channel marketing, branding and deep digital experience. He is known for leading the transformation of global brands.

Rivas joins Farouk Systems, Inc. from TONI&GUY USA, where he served as the vice president of marketing leading an integrated approach across all communication efforts. His innovative beauty marketing prowess and high-impact leadership also led him to work under the L’Oréal banner with L’Oréal Paris and the global marketing teams of Redken and Pureology. There he was given the opportunity to manage partnerships with E! Entertainment, Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), Style Network, Telemundo, and BET.

As an account executive at Omnicom Media Group, he managed Lowe’s largest ever sponsorship, an NBCUniversal reality television competition series called “American Dream Builders”.

Through brand-building initiatives and continued digital marketing expansion, Rivas will work closely with his team to drive transformation at Farouk Systems, Inc. Rivas will report directly to Dr. Farouk Shami, founder and chairman of Farouk Systems, Inc.
