Sport Clips Haircuts, the nation's leading haircare provider dedicated to men and boys, announced today its enhanced scholarship program that will provide $5,000 scholarships to eight eligible students pursuing an education in cosmetology. Two scholarships will be awarded per quarter with an additional national scholarship bringing the total to nine scholarships this year. Applicants are encouraged to complete their submissions at SportClipsJobs.com before the first quarterly deadline March 31. Subsequent deadlines are June 30, September 30, and December 31, 2022.

“Sport Clips is proud to financially support members of our industry’s future workforce,” says Julie Vargas, vice president of career opportunities for Sport Clips. “As the last two years have shown us, investing in our frontline workforce is critical, which is why we’ve doubled the award amount from our previous scholarships to recognize deserving, aspiring professionals.”

Sport Clips has almost 1,900 stores with a presence in all 50 U.S. states and Canada and has awarded more than $66,000 in scholarships to promote quality cosmetology education. The Sport Clips Scholarship Program was created to provide financial support to qualified students enrolled in American Association of Cosmetology Schools (AACS). The goal of the program is to help students gain skills, training and education to begin a successful career in the continually-growing field of cosmetology.

Sport Clips Haircuts offers these $5,000 scholarships to eligible students who qualify based on academic benchmarks and financial need. Applicants must also submit a video essay answering questions about their ambitions to pursue a career in cosmetology.
