Worth Up Alliance announces that the Horst Rechelbacher Foundation has signed on to be a sponsor to help beauty pros take the next step in their careers. Through business education, coaching, mentorship, networking, and startup grants, Worth Up supports hairdressers, barbers, makeup artists, estheticians, massage therapists, and nail professionals who have a dream of opening a salon, launching a product line, expanding their business, or advancing their career in other ways. Worth Up is the brainchild of Jason Backe and Ted Gibson.

Horst Rechelbacher, the late founder of the Aveda Corporation, brought the beauty industry new options when he started the global, plant-based company in 1978. Horst developed innovative beauty products that would care for professionals, their guests, and the planet through the power of pure flower and plant essences.

“Business can be a solution to our planet’s crisis rather than the problem," Horst said when explaining his entrepreneurial vision. "It is a very exciting time for innovative thinkers and future-minded entrepreneurs." Horst was an early user of the term "ecopreneur" to describe the environmentally motivated businessperson.
