As part of a one-day gift card promotion for Independence Day, Progressions changed its on-hold message to inform guests who called in that they could purchase $100 gift cards for $85 on July 3 only. The message combined with in-salon signage and a Facebook post.
“We usually do week-long gift card promotions, but our executive team decided a one-day promotion would create a sense of urgency,” Feldman says. “Our budget was about $300, which included both the promotional images and the gift cards that were used, and our revenue by the end of the one-day promotion was $10,060.”
