MODERN SALON MEDIA’s editors will be reporting live on all the education, inspiration and collaboration this weekend (January 25-27, 2014) at the 2014 International Salon and Spa Expo (ISSE) at the Long Beach Convention Center. "Are You There Salon? It’s Me, Client”: In this interactive business workshop,  Nina Kovner will encourage attendees to take our their smartphones and tablets and play. She’ll challenge salon owners and managers to take a close look at their current online and offline marketing programs and begin building a real-life action plan that helps them grow both their businesses and their relationships.

Look Out for Kopsa: Just in time for tax preparation season, Larry Kopsa of Kopsa-Otte CPA will teach a couple of classes aimed at helping salon owners save money, including “Top 10 Tax Savers” and “10 Tax Myths That Cost You Money.”

Front Desk Techniques: Learn ways your front desk staff can encourage growth and affect the bottom line. In “No Down Time at the Front Desk,”  Bob Maconi, Millennium’s director of business development, outlines specific tasks the front desk can perform to increase their value and professionalism.
