2012 Strategies' Business Education Classes Announced

Strategies, a provider of business education for the beauty industry, has announced its 2012 line-up of seminars. The schedule includes flagship offerings, such as the four-day Incubator and the popular Extraordinary Guest Services seminar.

New classes include Get Found Online: How to Build Your Company’s Online Presence, to be held in Austin, and the return of The Salon/Spa Manager Course.

“Strategies business education is practical, hands-on learning for every member of the team,” says vice president Eric Ducoff. “People come back to Strategies time and again because our methods work.”

Strategies has also announced a new alliance with TruBeauty Concepts, as part of their H.O.P.E. for Beauty project.

“We are so excited with the new H.O.P.E. for Beauty partnership. It’s a great opportunity for their network to reap the benefits of our Strategies seminars, right at their distributor’s beautiful new facility,” says Strategies’ president Robbi Grayson. Seminars at H.O.P.E. for Beauty are open to all.

Extraordinary Guest Services will be offered in Centerbrook, Conn., on February 5-6, May 20-12 and October 14-15, 2012; and at H.O.P.E. for Beauty in Southampton, Penn., on March 25-26. This seminar puts the focus on the importance of front-desk and call-center staff, and how they can be a key factor in the success of a salon, spa or medspa. Scripting, customer service, up-selling and dealing with difficult situations are all covered. Owners and managers are welcome too!

Get Found Online: How to Build Your Company’s Online presence, February 26-27, 2012, Aveda Institute Austin, Austin, Texas. From blogging to Facebook, Twitter to search engine optimization (SEO), it’s a whole new ballgame when it comes to promoting your business. Novice and expert alike will learn from this on-the-road seminar.

Incubator will be held April 1-4, 2012 at The Executive Factor, Arcadia, Calif.; in Centerbrook, Conn. on June 10-13, 2012, August 19-22, 2012 and November 4-7, 2012; and May 20-23 at H.O.P.E. for Beauty, Southampton, Penn. Incubator is the foundation for the Four Business Outcomes: profitability, productivity, staff retention and client loyalty. Topics covered include leadership, compensation, cash-flow planning, communication and growth.

Incubator Graduate Seminar, March 11-14, 2012 and September 23-26, in Centerbrook, Conn. Designed to take the Incubator grad to the next level of accountability, while strengthening the systems learned in Incubator.

The Salon/Spa Manager Course will be offered April 29-May 1, 2012, in Centerbrook, Conn. This course is a critical step in your manager’s leadership development. Topics include communication, performance evaluations, efficiency, productivity and customer service.

Beyond Being the Boss—Leading for Tomorrow will be offered in Centerbrook, Conn., on June 3-6, 2012. Business ownership is just the start! This seminar will help participants figure out what’s next: a revamped business, hands-off ownership, a new role or just getting out.

Salon/Spa Game-Planning Retreat will be held September 30-October 2, 2012, in Centerbrook, Conn. This seminar will help participants get it all on paper—cash flow, marketing, customer service, communication and more.
