Sandy Ovington, vice president of merchandising for Ulta Beauty, has been named to the International SalonSpa Business Network’s Board of Trustees

Sandy Ovington, vice president of merchandising for Ulta Beauty, has been named to the International SalonSpa Business Network’s Board of Trustees. In this role, she will lead the owners of the only international association for multi-unit salon and spa companies in growing both their own businesses, as well as the professional beauty industry.

“Sandy Ovington is a savvy marketer and beauty executive, who brings timely expertise to ISBN in an era in which retailing professional products and creating a fun, in-salon beauty experience is more important than ever to our members and vendor partners,” says Rhoda Olsen, ISBN president and CEO of Great Clips.

A beauty industry executive with more than 25 years of merchandising experience, Ovington joined Ulta Beauty in 2010 and has been promoted to roles of increasing responsibility since that time. She has been in her current role leading the merchandising efforts for all of professional hair and nail, personal care appliances and accessories since 2015. Previously, she served as senior director/dmm for professional hair care and personal care appliances. 

Prior to joining Ulta Beauty, Ovington was the divisional vice president of footwear at Kmart and divisional merchandising manager of footwear at Sears. She also held merchandising roles with Dick’s Sporting Goods, Mercantile Stores, Federated and Lazarus. She has a bachelor’s degree in business from Miami University. She and her husband, John, have two children, Kayla and Jack.
