The Charles David Salon and Spa group, based in the Boston area, has just joined the Beth Minardi “family” with the decision to switch the salons’ hair color to the Beth Minardi Signature and Joico Vero K-PAK professional hair color collections.
Co-owners Charles “Buddy” Dudley and David Honeycutt opened Charles David 17 years ago and the salons post 65 percent of its service revenue in hair color services.
Beth Minardi is a long-time color mentor of Dudley who is a member of the Beth Minardi Artistic Color (MAC) team that provides hair color education at the Joico Artistic Institutes nationwide.
“Beth has been Buddy’s mentor for years and we really respect her,” says Honeycutt. “But, we were very clear we would only make the transition if Beth Minardi Signature was a superior product. What’s more, we have a very large and loyal staff of 113 and we told them we would only make the change with their support and approval. After significant testing, the team decided that converting to Beth Minardi Signature color was the right decision.”
Honeycutt reports, “Every day we receive four or five messages from clients saying their hair has never been shinier or healthier. They tell us there is no staining and that the color is longer-lasting. As an owner, these types of messages are music to our ears.”
