When anyone searches in “Salons in Randolph, New Jersey,” Core Salon and Day Spa comes up in the top three in the Google ranking. Michelle Parkes, owner of the salon has been working with social networking expert, Patrick McIvor, on ways to utilize digital services and social networking to grow her business.  Her latest success is attributed to Yellowbook.

“After a brainstorming session with Patrick, I signed up with Yellowbook. They linked our website to Google and other sites, so when people search for salons in our area, ours comes up in the top three. We also have a banner headline, and when you click on it there’s a one page website with a video. It gives you a map with directions, and you can link to our full website,” explains Parkes.

Another great marketing tool they offer is the ability to track how many people have clicked on a link, how many visit as a result, and the dollar amount they spend. The program is computer accessible, there’s an App for Smartphones and businesses are listed in the phone book. It’s a great tool to attract new customers.
