June 2015

Buzz Salon in Iowa City sweeps the 2015 Salons of the Year with a glass-walled concept designed to give clients on multiple levels a bird’s eye view of the town’s pedestrian mall. Organic stations created from solid slabs of walnut, an entire first floor devoted to retail, and salon signage that doubles as a door at night help create this sleek urban retreat.

Nineteen additional Salons of the Year create clean, crisp and gorgeous canvases that put the spotlight on the artistry of hair. Learn about their design stats and take a virtual tour of each one of them.
