In her new 2013/2014 Autumn/Winter Collection, L’Oréal Professionnel Styling Ambassador Christine Margossian shows off four different styles interpreted around a layered bob. Margossian’s “Rock Chic” looks feature gray, taupe and black highlights for a metallic effect with silvery texture and a shiny finish. To get the silver blonde look, Margossian used the balayage technique which creates a roots effect.

CALL ME: The look exemplifies a day in the life of the active woman with plenty of movement and volume. To achieve this style, create waves at mid-length—the tips are deliberately straight—and then tousle with your fingers. Use a volume styling mouse and flexible hairspray. ATOMIC: For a more glamorous style, the relaxed wave effect at the tips contrasts with the texture of straighter hair. The graphic effect is accentuated with a thick fringe which covers the eyebrows. Use a styling oil and shine spray.

SILVER INITIALS: This inverted bob is drawn up from the neck and pinned using bobby pins. Use a flexible styling spray to keep the look on the softer side.

ROCK BIRD: This sophisticated, voluminous beehive in blonde is so icy, it looks like winter frost. To bring the style up to date, the end result must not be too stiff—the aim is to achieve a styled look that appears as natural as possible. Use a shine spray and flexible styling products.
