Hairdressers, Make Some Noise About the Importance of Licensing

State Boards are under attack by well-meaning legislators who are looking to streamline regulation without understanding the nuances of the industry.They continue to put forth bills that would do away with the licensing requirements.

We asked Rosanne Kinley, the past President of the National Interstate Council of the State Boards of Cosmetology and the current Chairman of the National Examinations Committee, for her advice on how hairdressers can get involved in this discussion and how they can make a difference.
