AT THE PREMIERE
Orlando Beauty Show,
Redken unveiled its
Break Room—an online
community for salon
professionals that marries
the concepts of
Facebook, Match.com
and LinkedIn. This new
social network is
exclusively for professionals,
allowing for
them to connect with
each other; share
business tips, challenges and successes; and learn from experts. Additionally,
technicals and step-by-steps are included on the site, as well as group forums, job
boards and a chat function.
The Break Room also will include blogs from industry experts. Michael Cole,
a Redken Business Partner and founder of the program STEP UP! The Fast Track
to Wealth, will blog about his experiences leading the Step Up program (a sort of
“therapeutic financial bootcamp for hairdressers”). Shae Kalyani, vice president of
marketing and communication, will host a blog called “Notes from the Road,” where
she will discuss different business successes, failures and challenges. Additional
contributions by Carmody Homan and Leah Freeman, Inspiring World of Redken
Artists, and Jennifer Boutwell-Bustamante, Redken’s Ultimate Salon Makeover
winner, can be found on the site. Create your profile today on redkensalon.com.
Contributors on Redken’s newly launched community, The Break Room, discuss details of the social networking site. |
