#BeautyMOB Personality Series - Your Salon's Social Persona

By Kelly Ehlers | 02/17/2013 9:00:00 AM

In today's tech savvy world there are SO many different social channels, and more are popping up every single day! It becomes overwhelming if you are trying to build your salon's presence simultaneously on all platforms. Here at Style Sync we are firm believers of doing things right!

When it comes to social media, we suggest picking the social platform that works best for YOUR salon, and then master that platform FIRST before expanding your efforts to other sites.  A well-executed, targeted strategy is much better than the shotgun approach!

It’s important to know where your audience (your clients) are, and to meet them on those platforms. The very nature of social media is the idea of a timely conversation based on the personality of your salon. To help you decide what platforms to focus on, the team at Style Sync has developed a 'social persona' equation to point you in the right direction.

Here is a list of the most popular social personas:

#SassySocialite Style Sync's Facebook Socialite

The Socializer (Facebook) - #SassySocialite

#FotoHefe Style Sync's Instagram Exhibitionist

The Exhibitionist (Instagram) - #FotoHefe

#SocialBarista Style Sync's Pinterest Mix Master

#Emcee Style Sync's Twitter Perosna

The Emcee (Twitter) - #Emcee

#CovertOps Style Sync's Review Site Secret Agent

Each of these personalities corresponds with a specific social media platform using salon style and business goals. Over the next 2 weeks I will be introducing each of the personalities of our #beautyMOB in detail to help you find the persona that match your salon's personality and achieves your business goals.
