Recently I was watching an interview with Seth Godin, one of the greatest business minds of the 21st century. He said, “Today there aren’t jobs but opportunities.” Throughout his career Mr. Godin has worked with countless organizations as a marketing consultant and brand specialist. In addition he has many books that are humorous yet profoundly thought provoking business acumens for success.

Have you ever wondered why you’re not where you want to be in your career? I am sure many of us have asked ourselves this question a time or two. Pondering about progress is always good. Questions help us navigate our way through our career journey.

I believe Seth’s statement is true. Just think. Isn’t every person you meet an opportunity to gain a client, to learn something new, or to help make a situation better? The beauty industry offers tremendous opportunities for exploring countless career options.

Today explore the opportunities in front of you. If you don’t see any opportunities, make them yourself. This is the new normal and a sign of the times.
