Approximately 3,000 people from the Aveda network gathered together in Minneapolis for the 2011 Aveda "Pow Wow" Congress this weekend. For an event that only happens every three years, LOTS went on, including the option for stylists to visit a Tribal Baazar Retail area, presentations in the Minneapolis Convention Center Auditorium (by various Aveda educators/platform artists) and an out-of-this-world evening performance directed by Aveda's Creative Director, Antoinette Beenders.
News Editor Jan Hillenmeyer and I were covering the event this year, and all I have to say is wow—there were some amazing perfomances—better yet, there was some amazing hair! Aveda performances included: the Aveda North American Artistic Team, Full Spectrum Segment with David Adams and the International New Talent Team, Aveda Institutes, Earth Month and Global Greengrants Fund, Van Michael Salon Team, Aveda Men, Peter Gray, Tippi Shorter and the Aveda Canada Team. Lets just say I couldn't get enough photos of everything that went on ;)
