Massage Envy “Healing Hands for Arthritis” 2nd Annual Event

Anne Moratto | November 9, 2012 | 11:42 AM

More than 800 Massage Envy clinics joined forces to raise funds for the Arthritis Foundation during a one-day national event, Healing Hands for Arthritis. Massage Envy is a national franchise providing professional therapeutic massage and spa services.  On September 19, $10 from every massage and facial was donated to the Arthritis Foundation to benefit the organization's mission to prevent, control and cure arthritis. Massage Envy clinics raised nearly $680,000 in this event and combined with last year’s event, have raised nearly $1million for the foundation.

“The support we received this year for Healing Hands for Arthritis was incredible and we can’t thank all of our members and guests enough for participating,” said Massage Envy Director of Communications Paula Stapley. “Additionally, we are so proud of the dedication and enthusiasm of our franchisees, regional developers, therapists and clinic staff who truly made this event a success. We look forward to next year’s Healing Hands for Arthritis event and to continuing our partnership with the Arthritis Foundation.”

During the event, Murad, Massage Envy Spa's exclusive skin care partner, donated 10 percent of all sales from their products sold at Massage Envy Spa locations to the Arthritis Foundation. BioFreeze and Wyndmere also donated 10 percent of their retail sales to the cause.
