STAMP 2014: Jillian Grace Branding Strategy

Jillian Grace Salon
West Grove, Pennsylvania
Owned by: Jillian Tuskweth

After five years of being in business, Tuskweth felt her brand identity, while classic and refined, didn’t adequately convey the advanced technical skills and fashion-forward aesthetic of her team. In addition, the salon hoped to expand its appeal to a younger demographic. Working with Imaginal Marketing, the salon retained its JG logo but used a more modern font and transitioned its earthy color scheme to a bold aqua with bright yellow and pink accents.

“We wanted a central tagline, and the perfect quote by jeweler Harry Winston emerged: ‘People will stare. Make it worth their while,’” Tuskweth says.

The salon redecorated its salon with the new color palette and is planning on incorporating the quote on its walls. It also commissioned a custom website, new business cards, service menus, guest referral cards, new client cards, haircare product recommendation cards and tote bags featuring the new imagery. In all, the salon spent $13,500 on the rebranding.
