Farouk Systems, Inc., a company of hairdressers for hairdressers, is helping hairdressers and salons impacted by Hurricane Harvey and Irma. Their #Hairdressers4Hairdressers campaign encourages hairdressers, salons and schools to participate in a Nationwide Cut-a-Thon to raise money for the Professional Beauty Industry’s (PBA)  Disaster Relief Fund during the month of September 2017. 100% of the donations collected will go to their relief efforts to help hairdressers restore their businesses and livelihood. To date, over 17 of CHI Partner Schools have committed to the Cut-a-Thon.

To sign up for the Cut-a-Thon efforts, reach out to [email protected]. If you wish to make a donation, visit www.probeauty.org/drf  and follow the instructions on that page. Stylists seeking assistance can fill out a form through the PBA’s website at: https://probeauty.org/drf/apply/.

In response to Hurricane Harvey, Dr. Farouk Shami committed $5,000,000 in products and tools to various shelters, churches, organizations, stylists and salons. To date, Farouk Systems has donated to the following: Salvation Army, Houston Area Women's Center, Gallery Furniture, Mt. “Farouk Systems is committed to helping the people affected by these recent hurricanes and help our fellow hairdressers to reopen their salon doors," Dr. Shami says. "We would like want to thank our CHI Partner Schools and salons for participating in our Cut-a-Thons to help raise money for the PBA’s Disaster Relief Fund as well as our distributor Armstrong McCall for helping to deliver our product and tool donations to stylists and salons devastated by Hurricane Harvey. Now, as a community of beauty professionals we need to come together to help those in Florida.Your kindness and generosity during this time is greatly appreciated. God bless you all.”
