Sam Villa, the longtime Redken educator has been appointed as the brand’s new Global Artistic Ambassador, which was announced at this year’s Redken Symposium in Las Vegas, NV.

In his new role, Villa will serve in a greater capacity as the brand’s online spokesperson in various ways including the launch of “Sam’s Corner’ on Redkenpro.com’s new blog, “The Break Room”, which provides helpful tips, tricks and techniques for the salon professional. Villa will also be contributing to the social content seen on the Redken’s Instagram and Facebook channels, where fans can tune in to see the latest hair hacks and tricks, as well as exclusive interviews and product-associated write-ups. Additionally, he will be working closely with Redken’s Marketing team, serving as a professional consultant to help build awareness and education around the brand’s newest product launches and programs.

“Since I began my journey with Redken 21 years ago, I’ve been so fortunate to grow with the brand and our partnership continues to evolve in exciting new ways,” Villa says. “I am deeply honored to serve as Redken’s new Global Artistic Ambassador. This new role will give me the ability and capacity to do more, including representing the brand across different mediums and a wide array of digital platforms, which I am absolutely thrilled about.”

Villa will continue to represent Redken on mainstage at major trade shows where the brand has onsite presence including ABS Chicago, Premiere Orlando, Redken International Symposium and Redken’s bi-annual Las Vegas Symposium. He will also continue to liaise closely with Redken’s Marketing and PR teams to collaborate on projects, media opportunities and provide professional expertise. Students interested in experiencing one of Sam’s classes can continue to do so at the Redken Exchange located at 404 Fifth Avenue in New York City.

 In addition to serving as Redken’s Global Artistic Ambassador, Sam Villa is the co-founder and owner of Sam Villa professional hair styling tools and is a judge on “The Look All-Stars”, a reality competition show that showcases the professional industry to a mainstream consumer audience. He will be receiving the NAHA Lifetime Achievement Award in Las Vegas in July 2017. Prior to his newly appointed current role with Redken, Sam served as the brand’s Education Artistic Director for 11 years.
