A new product called HeadBed addresses "beauty parlor stroke syndrome," a risk clients can face when their necks are overextended on the shampoo bowl. Australian healthcare technician Catherine Randabel created the device which easily fits on the salon sink. It provides comfort and alleviates the stress and strain on the back of the neck that affects the blood flow to the brain. It’s the over extension of the neck which can possibly lead to serious health consequences.

According to many in the legal and health arenas, HeadBed’s cost is a very small amount to pay compared to possible legal and medical expenses down the road.

"Every hair salon and barbershop should have a HeadBed and every client should ask their hair care technician," says Dr. Stacy Peck of myhaircarerx.com.

Salon Interiors is a distributor for HeadBed based in South Hackensack, New Jersey. Salon Interiors offers custom salon furniture for new salons and those upgrading their salons.
