After Barco got a call from her dentist encouraging her to book her next appointment, she thought about making daily calls to fill the holes in the appointment book. Each day between 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m., Jennifer LeBlanc, the salon’s marketing director calls the day’s scheduled clients and up-sells open appointments.
“Primary add-ons are gel manicures and express pedicures with our color appointments and waxing services and shampoo/blowdrys to our nail appointments,” LeBlanc says. “This year our up-sell rate increased 12.45% with $18,000 in revenue in same-day appointments.”
