STAMP 2015: Red 7 Salon's Television Commercial

Stacey Soble | September 4, 2015 | 12:17 PM

Change Makers

Red 7 Salon

Evanston and Chicago, Illinois

Owned by: Jason Hall and David Kafer

In the beginning of 2015, Red 7 experienced a minor walkout that rattled its owners Jason Hall and David Kafer. Although it was touchy, the experience, along with the salon’s recent interior renovation, inspired the owners to focus on the positive experience of change in their newest television ad.

The 90-second spot features the owners, seated in their reception area, having a serious conversation about the atmosphere of the salon, the relationship that exists between a stylist and a client, and how the salon is a catalyst for change.

“It was featured on prime cable networks (HGTV, Food Network, Bravo) in our local market, and we used it in the online ad space on Yelp! and Facebook pages,” Hall says. “The big message for viewers is our business is all about change, and we are the changemakers.”
