Intercoiffure America/Canada (ICA) was honored as a 2015 Art of Business Award Honoree at the 2015 Raylon Art of Business Seminar, held April 26-27.

This prestigious seminar, in its 14th year, focuses on insightful and doable practices for salon owners to develop sustainability and growth. Raylon put together an all-star lineup of speakers who shared in various topics, such as world-class customer service, salon leadership strategies, mobile/digital marketing, and getting your MBA in coaching.

The Art of Business Award is bestowed each year to a special individual who has made an over and above contribution to the “business side” of the salon industry. This year’s award was presented to Intercoiffure America/Canada for their leadership in businesses for 2014.

“This year’s honoree, Intercoiffure America/Canada, has long been respected as the leading fashion association in professional beauty,” says Howard Hafetz, Raylon CEO. “Intercoiffure is made up of some of the most creative hairdressers worldwide. Their talents in fashion-forward and artistic development have also led their individual members to become the biggest and best ‘business’ salons. Intercoiffure members like President Frank Gambuzza are an inspiration to all who are salon and spa owners. Intercoiffure has many accolades for its artistic, fashion and beauty development and now it gives us special pleasure to recognize Intercoiffure America/Canada for their business development and leadership, as well.”

Receiving the award on behalf of Intercoiffure was Vice President, Sheila Zaricor-Wilson. “Representing this incredible organization and having the opportunity to accept an award from Raylon is a double honor,” said Sheila Zaricor-Wilson. “It’s a great feeling to be included in the club of recipients that includes Ruth Roche, Michael Cole, Sam Brocato, Salon Today and others.”

Frank Gambuzza, President of Intercoiffure America/Canada, was a presenter at the seminar. “Speaking to the more than 400 seminar attendees about the growth in our industry, and seeing Intercoiffure America/Canada recognized for the hard work that each and every member has put forth, was a career highlight for me,” states Gambuzza. “It shows that we are on the right track as an industry, and that as a member organization with common goals, we can accomplish incredible things.”
