Lash Bash/Blow Out and Go Out
Interlocks Salon Spa Cosmetics
Newburyport, Massachusetts
Owned by: Ginny Eramo

In April, Interlocks hosted its second Lash Bash and its first Blow Out and Go Out—two events in one night that hosted 150 women throughout the evening, providing them with false lashes, complimentary makeup and a blowout bar. The salon collaborated with two local hot spots, Avage Mexican Bistro and Ceia Kitchen + Bar. Marketing pieces created by Project Manager Jordan Eramo featured both restaurants and each business sent out e-mail blasts to their client bases. Director of Web marketing & Promotions Kim Gooi used Facebook, Twitter and the salon’s website to promote the event, and she develop an Instagram contest with the hashtag #mylashbash to help the event go viral, as she encouraged attendees to upload photos of themselves at all three establishments that night. “Attendees were given special certificates to redeem at restaurants after their Interlocks experience and a complimentary limo transported them. “Of the 150 women in attendance, 80 percent were new to Interlocks and we hope to repeat this event each year, continuing to build new clientele, collaborate with business neighbors and showcase our services and products,” says Eramo.
